The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies presented an organization record $14,525 check to the Greater Lansing Food Bank on January 22, 2019.
The donation was made possible by employees who, each year, have the opportunity to make a contribution to the food bank in lieu of receiving a holiday ham from the organization. This year’s $14,525 commitment represents a record for the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies in its history of contributions to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
“This record donation from the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies represents an impressive and admirable commitment to our community,” said Joe Wald, Executive Director of the Greater Lansing Food Bank. “We’ve had a special partnership with the Farm Bureau team for many years, but I never cease to be humbled and amazed by the organization and its employees’ generosity. This contribution is just another example of their commitment to continue growing and building upon their own rich history of community outreach. On behalf of the many Michigan families and individuals who will benefit from this collective act of kindness, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved!”
“I’d like to thank the team members who have elected to give something of theirs to help others in need this year,” added Michigan Farm Bureau President, Carl Bednarski. “The Farm Bureau Family of companies prides itself on the knowledge that we’re working together to do great things.”
